I’ve always been significantly immersed in, and heavily influenced by visual story telling and a minimal aesthetic, seeking quiet simplicity, always. I gained my love of atmosphere from my father and grandfather, learning from their profound appreciation of weather’s influence on a day of sailing. For generations, weather has always been a serious topic. Never was it mere small talk.
For quite some time now, I've been capturing images in locations that hold special meaning or fond memories, doing so from my perspective as a photo editor, creative director, and visual artist. It is a luxury to now be capturing images for the pure pleasure of doing so and not as a part of a commercial assignment, the process and the resulting images are very personally and artistically satisfying. I hope that sentiment comes through in the work.
